Iran film to enter home market

Iranian film ‘5 p.m.’ is slated to go on home release soon.

Directed by famed comedian Mehran Modiri, the movie received the permit to be released at the Iranian market of home entertainment.

Set in populated streets of Tehran, the film narrates the story of a man who needs to do troublesome task from 7 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon.

The film stars artists such as Siamak Ansari, Amir Jafari, Azadeh Samadi as well as its director. ‘5 p.m.’

Modiri has directed and appeared in several series such as 'The Man of Two Thousand Faces', 'Bitter Coffee', 'My Villa', 'I'm Just Kidding', 'In Hashieh', and 'Sneeze'.

The comedian/auteur began acting at a young age and appeared in a number of plays before attending the University of Tehran, Faculty of Art.

He received a nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at Fajr Film Festival for his role in 'There is Always a Woman Involved'.
